Unidentified illustration of the Welwitschia mirabilis
I want to quickly share this find with you. The Welwitschia mirabilis is a Gymnosperm (“naked seeds“) plant which is quite literally sui generis: of its own kind. The plant reminds of the Komodo dragon.

Spring fever got you too, eh? Good score… thanks for sharing! This plant makes me think it may have stimulated the design of The Plant in “The Little Shop of Horrors” probably not considered at all strange by people living in the Namib Desert. Finally, a redeeming quality of landmines (in Angola) …keeping plant collectors at bay.
The link to lenticular clouds is great. Reminds me that great cloud season arrives with spring here, soon:-)
Hey suburban,
Yes … spring is in the air … and yes the Little Shop link is valid, see http://www.jahsonic.com/FredKatz.jpg
