RIP Charles Gatewood (1942 2016)

Charles Gatewood (November 8, 1942 – April 28, 2016) was an American photographer, writer, videographer, artist, and educator living and working in San Francisco, California.

His work specialized in America’s sexual underground.

He is perhaps best-known for the film Dances Sacred and Profane (above).
