So very few films are scary, this one by American director Tomaselli is horror we might like, have you seen this one Groovy Age ?(I haven’t yet) From an interview: Reverend Salo, an enigmatic preacher/faith healer. Kreskin paralyzed actors during a scene.
The Elsewhere concept was borrowed from the excellent 2blowhards blog.
Dante Tomaselli’s first two films are completely insane (his latest, Devil’s Playground, isn’t very good and is fairly archetypical horror). Both Horror and Desecration have really abject tones that never seem to feel right, which creates a unique sort of tension; the film becomes more like a confused day dream. In terms of narrative it’s not very good, but the bizarre tone makes it fairly worthwhile.
I haven’t time to check out all the links but couldn’t resist your ponyxpress recommendation (one of my all time favourite sites)
