Ricardo Bofill was a Spanish architect who built Xanadu (1971), La Muralla Roja (1973) and Walden 7 (1975).
His work references Gaudí, Palladio and Archigram.
Bofill’s opus is of major significance in European postmodern architecture.
RIP Almudena Grandes (1960 – 2021)
Almudena Grandes was a Spanish writer best-known for her novel The Ages of Lulu (1989), a classic of Spanish erotica.
Bigas Luna adapted the novel to a film of the same name a year later.

Six years ago, I posted a picture of Walter Benjamin’s grave[1], in Portbou, Spain.
One year ago, I stayed for a few days in El Port de la Selva, right next to Portbou, unaware that it was the location of Passages; Homage to Walter Benjamin (above).
Now I want to go back.
